Piano Ensemble Audition Workshop (numbers limited)

This is a fun group performance activity designed for little pianists age 5yr to 8yr who love to perform!

Our competition adjudicator, Wellington-based pianist Julie Coulson is on the lookout for young, enthusiastic pianists to play with her and Dr. Jian Liu on stage at the Gala Concert. Simply sign up, let us know how long you have been learning and the level you are playing at, and we will send you parts of two ensemble pieces to prepare for the workshop.

Participants will be given tips on good stage etiquette and how to play with others in an ensemble. At the end of the workshop, pianists selected to play in the Gala Concert will be chosen and notified by email that evening. Priority will be given to those not participating in the competition. Those selected to play in the Gala Concert will have an additional rehearsal on the Thursday as well as a full rehearsal in the concert venue on the Saturday afternoon before the Gala Concert (time to be advised).

Regardless of whether you have been selected to play in the Gala Concert or not, ALL pianists enrolled in the Audition Workshop will receive a complimentary pass to the Gala Concert. Please come! We need you to perform a fun task in one of our ensemble pieces!
